India, Aug. 20 -- The career of Jose Alberto Suarez, a veteran television executive who spent more than two decades building his reputation in US Spanish-language broadcasting, ended suddenly in a helicopter crash in northern Kenya. Suarez, 55, was among seven people killed when a tourist helicopter crashed in Samburu County on Wednesday morning while travelling toward the Ewaso Nyiro area.

Suarez led Telemundo-owned stations in Orlando, Tampa and Fort Myers-Naples, Florida. NBCUniversal confirmed his death as authorities continued investigating the crash near Mount Ololokwe.
