India, Aug. 29 -- J. Cole's Sacramento concert was cancelled just hours before the rapper was scheduled to take the stage after a member of his touring crew died in a fatal truck crash in California. The concert was scheduled for August 27 at Sacramento's Golden 1 Center as part of J. Cole's The Fall-Off World Tour. The venue announced the cancellation following the death of the crew member, extending condolences to his family and loved ones.

The crew member was later identified as Jarlath "Chip" Parkinson, a 66-year-old entertainment truck driver from Jackson, South Carolina. According to the Sacramento Bee, his truck was transporting equipment from J. Cole's previous concert in Seattle when the fatal crash occurred.
