India, Oct. 1 -- There is no shortage of star power in Marianne Elliott's West End revival of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Gillian Anderson and Billy Crudup take on the roles made famous on screen by Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Both performers also have deep stage credentials, making this less a case of Hollywood stars parachuting into the West End and more a reunion with the theatre.

Anderson plays Martha, the frustrated, furious wife of history professor George, while Crudup takes on her emotionally guarded husband. Together, they spend one long night drinking, arguing, provoking and wounding each other.
