India, July 24 -- While all eyes remain on the Commonwealth Games 2026, India's Judo star Tulika Maan's dream has been shattered after she was provisionally suspended by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA). Tulika, who won a silver medal at the CWG Birmingham 2022, had to withdraw from the Glasgow-bound Indian contingent. Her absence marks a major setback for the country as well.

The timing could hardly have been worse for Indian judo. Tulika was expected to spearhead the nation's medal challenge in the women's +78kg division at the Commonwealth Games 2026. Instead, India was forced to travel to Glasgow without one of their most experienced combat sports athletes.
