India, March 25 -- A shocking criminal investigation in Nashik has exposed how a self-styled godman allegedly built a powerful spiritual empire and used fear, superstition, and fake rituals to exploit women. Police have arrested Ashok Kharat, widely known as "Captain," on charges of sexual assault, criminal intimidation, and possible involvement in human sacrifices.

Investigators say Kharat created a climate of fear among followers by claiming supernatural powers and promising miracles. Authorities have registered multiple FIRs against him, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) continues to probe his activities, including alleged sexual exploitation and financial fraud.
