India, Aug. 10 -- Anan Khalaili remains on the verge of history as the youngster prepares to join Crystal Palace from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise. The 21-year-old Israeli winger is reportedly set to move to the Premier League in a deal worth around £24 million (€28 million), which would make him the most expensive Israeli footballer ever.

The proposed transfer comes just weeks after Khalaili's expected deal with Inter Milan collapsed following his medical. Crystal Palace have now moved ahead of fellow English side Newcastle and other interested clubs to secure the highly rated winger, who could also feature in European competition with the Eagles.
