India, Oct. 10 -- Cristiano Ronaldo could return to the Portugal national football team during the November 2026 international break, with Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) president Pedro Proenca revealing that all parties want the legendary forward back in the squad. However, disciplinary proceedings following Ronaldo's departure from the national team camp mean his comeback is not yet guaranteed.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Proenca said the federation, head coach Jorge Jesus and the players shared the same objective of welcoming their captain back. He also indicated that Ronaldo himself was willing to return.
