India, Aug. 10 -- WhatsApp users in India and several other countries have reported problems with the messaging platform, with many unable to send or receive photos, videos, stickers, GIFs and other media files. Outage-tracking platform Downdetector recorded a surge in user reports early Monday morning. The disruption appears to be primarily affecting WhatsApp's multimedia services, while some users have said that basic text messaging continues to work.
