India, March 17 -- A series of aerial threats targeting the United States embassy in Baghdad triggered a rapid and dramatic response, with the American C-RAM air defence system intercepting drones and rockets within seconds.

Viral videos showed bright streaks cutting across the night sky as incoming projectiles were destroyed mid-air. The system's quick reaction prevented what could have been a direct hit on one of the most heavily secured diplomatic compounds in the region.

A security official said that "three drones and four rockets attacked the embassy, with at least one drone crashing inside it". Earlier, another attempted rocket strike had also been foiled, pointing to a sustained and coordinated threat.
