India, July 25 -- San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is set to begin training camp under difficult circumstances after the franchise confirmed he was involved in a car accident last week. While the team said the injuries are not life-threatening, Shanahan is expected to have only a limited role as the 49ers open camp on July 25 while he continues his recovery.

The 46-year-old sustained multiple injuries in the crash, including a broken nose, three fractured ribs, a broken hand, a severe concussion and facial wounds that required more than 40 stitches.
