India, Aug. 7 -- Indian cricket is entering a new era where fitness could become just as important as form. There are fears over the continued injuries to a handful of top-line players and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is said to be planning to impose stricter fitness standards through its Center of Excellence (CoE). Players will be required to meet minimum benchmarks in the Bronco Test and 2K Run to qualify to be eligible for national selection in the proposed system.
