India, March 26 -- India is witnessing a gradual transition from late winter to early summer with temperatures rising across several regions while northern plains are warming up, hill states may still experience snowfall and rain. However, central and southern India are heading toward hotter days with some regions expected to cross 40degC in the coming days.

Hill regions including Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Himachal Pradesh may experience light snowfall and rain. Srinagar is expected to remain cold with Minimum at -1degC and Maximum at 6degC as cloud cover and light precipitation may continue for the next 48 hours.
