India, May 24 -- India is witnessing two completely different weather systems at the same time while large parts of North, Central and Western India continue to struggle under a severe heatwave, southern and northeastern states are preparing for heavy rain as the Southwest Monsoon steadily advances. Temperatures have crossed 47degC in some regions, while several coastal and hill states are already reporting thunderstorms and intense rainfall activity.
