India, April 17 -- India is witnessing a rapid rise in temperatures as summer strengthens across northern and central regions. Several cities have already crossed the 40degC mark, signaling an early onset of intense heat conditions and weather officials warn that dry winds and clear skies are accelerating the temperature surge across the country.
