India, May 3 -- The Miami Grand Prix 2026 kicked off in absolute chaos at the Miami International Autodrome on May 3, Sunday, with two major incidents in the early laps. After the start was brought forward by three hours to avoid a severe thunderstorm, the green and slippery track surface had already claimed its first victims. Pierre Gasly and Isack Hadjar are both out of the race after serious crashes.

The Alpine ace Pierre Gasly was sent into a mid-air flip.
