India, April 24 -- While the world's top seeds like Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are battling for the Madrid Open 2026 trophy, the biggest clap from the crowd at the Caja Magica this week wasn't for an ace or a cross-court winner. It was for a three-year-old in a miniature head-to-toe Nike kit. It was for the Rafael Nadal Jr. who was hitting backhands like a pro to his father Rafa. 

Affectionately dubbed as "Baby Rafa" by fans, turned one of the practice sessions in Madrid into a viral moment among netizens. As his father prepared for his final home-soil appearances, the toddler took to the red clay with a racket nearly as big as himself, displaying a backhand that looked strangely familiar to the Manacor faithful.
