India, July 28 -- The US, one of the most sought after countries for asylum seekers has an active backlog of over 1.5 million unaddressed asylum applications. Now the government has introduced a new asylum related policy, under which some cases directly proceed to countries.
US Government's New Policy
The US government has introduced a new rule under which some asylum related cases will go directly to courts and skip the interview. Interviews are normally a key part of the process for asylum seekers.
