India, Aug. 9 -- US to Scrap 60-Day Grace Period for H-1B Visa Holders: The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is considering a major change to the rules governing foreign workers who lose their jobs. A proposal currently under review could eliminate the 60-day grace period that allows certain non-immigrant visa holders, including H-1B workers, to remain in the US after their employment ends.
