India, April 14 -- U.S. stocks advanced Tuesday as investors weighed geopolitical risks, energy price swings and strong technology sector momentum where the S&P 500 climbed more than 1% while the Nasdaq surged 1.8%, supported by semiconductor, AI and mega-cap technology stocks.
Markets showed resilience despite escalating US-Iran tensions and reports of expanded U.S. military deployment in the region involving over 10,000 personnel and multiple warships and easing oil prices after an early surge helped lift equities, while safe-haven assets such as gold softened and Bitcoin gained momentum. Corporate developments also supported the rally, including Oracle's AI infrastructure expansion and Amazon's $11.57 billion Globalstar acquisition.
