India, May 25 -- The NYSE and Nasdaq are closed on Monday because Memorial Day brings the entire US stock market a stop. There will be no equity trading. The market is scheduled to be open at 9:30 a.m. EST on Tuesday, May 26th. The US bond market will also be closed on Memorial Day. The early close on the last trading session now means the entire fixed-income market will be shut its doors on all trades.

What the Market Closure Means for Investors

Investors will not be able to buy and sell stocks or bonds on any US exchange, as liquidity in domestic markets is also halted. Some futures trading may still be in operation, though on a limited holiday schedule.
