India, Sept. 3 -- Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz has spoken strongly against the packed tennis schedule during the ongoing US Open in New York on Thursday. Talking to reporters after winning his second-round match inside Arthur Ashe Stadium, the four-time Grand Slam champion criticized the Association of Tennis Professionals calendar for giving players very little time to rest.

Alcaraz explained that playing every single event is becoming impossible and leads to serious injuries, making it clear that he will take breaks of up to two months in the future to protect his body.
