India, Aug. 27 -- Iran has called on the United States to compensate the country for damages it says were caused by Washington's unilateral sanctions. Tehran has also urged the UN to oppose secondary sanctions imposed on countries maintaining economic ties with Iran. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi described the US measures as an "economic terrorism campaign" and said Tehran reserved the right to seek accountability and reparations through available legal channels.
