India, Sept. 27 -- Iran has issued a fresh warning to the United States, saying American military positions and interests across the Middle East could come under attack if Washington carries out further military action against Tehran.

The warning comes as efforts to resolve the conflict remain stalled and the Strait of Hormuz continues to be at the centre of the confrontation. Tehran had recently proposed a seven-day roadmap that would allow the strategic waterway to reopen and nuclear negotiations with Washington to resume.
