US Central Command said American forces had redirected 103 commercial vessels as part of operations linked to the maritime blockade of Iran. The figure was reported on September 15 and represents an increase from the previous count.

The developments have also affected the oil market, with some physical crude cargoes in Europe trading above $130 per barrel amid disruptions to supplies from the Middle East.
