India, May 9 -- A terrifying incident unfolded at the United States' Denver International Airport on Friday when a Frontier Airlines plane bound for Los Angeles (LAX) struck an individual on the runway during its takeoff roll.

The high-speed Airbus A321neo plane turned the airport scene into chaos and a tragedy, aborting its abrupt departure after hitting an individual, which resulted in a massive engine fire and heavy smoke, prompting the frantic evacuation of all the passengers and the crew via emergency slides. The incident happened at around 11:19 pm GMT, Friday. According to a statement released by the Denver International Airport, there were a total of 231 passengers on board.
