India, May 1 -- As the US President Donald Trump faces the looming 60-day congressional War Powers deadline to wind down the US military intervention in Iran by May 1, the Trump administration has declared that the hostilities in the Middle East have "terminated." Failing to make a case to Congress to extend the window, as the date passed without altering the course of the war on Friday, the Trump administration maintained that the skirmishes on both sides "have ended."
