India, Sept. 7 -- UK Stock Market Forecast Today (September 7): The FTSE 100 heads into Monday's session with investors balancing stronger Asian markets against rising oil prices, renewed inflation concerns and growing expectations of higher global interest rates. The FTSE 100 closed Friday at 10,831, while the FTSE 250 gained 0.36%.

London's market backdrop has become more complicated after Brent crude climbed close to $97 a barrel amid renewed tensions involving the US and Iran. Higher energy prices could keep inflation pressures elevated and make the outlook for interest rates more difficult for investors.
