India, Aug. 10 -- The UK is gearing up for one of its most spectacular celestial phenomena in 2026 and this year on Wednesday, August 12, the moon will obscure the sun by 90 percent to 96% in Britain and Ireland. London will have 91 percent obscuration, while Cornwall might see as much as 95% according to NASA Science.
