India, May 28 -- The UK government has announced plans to cut tariffs on more than 125 everyday essentials as households continue struggling with rising grocery prices, fuel costs and inflation pressures linked to the ongoing US-Iran.

Products including bananas, olive oil, baked beans, bread, chocolate, sauces and soft drinks could soon become cheaper under the proposal. Chancellor Rachel Reeves says the government wants to ease pressure on consumers as global instability and supply disruptions continue affecting food prices across Britain.
