India, Sept. 21 -- Josh Hokit's controversial run in the UFC has now taken him to the biggest opportunity of his career. The UFC 331 broadcast confirmed that Hokit will challenge Ciryl Gane for the undisputed UFC heavyweight championship, with the bout set to headline the event at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 14. Gane holds the undisputed title after Tom Aspinall vacated the championship following an eye injury.

UFC president Dana White has already admitted that he is not looking forward to the possibility of Hokit becoming heavyweight champion. Speaking at the UFC 331 post-fight press conference in Los Angeles on September 19, White discussed the matchup and Hokit's controversial reputation.
