India, May 8 -- On Friday, May 8, the UAE activated its air defence systems to respond to Iran's attack. The UAE Defence Ministry issued a statement saying that the air defence system engaged two ballistic missiles and three Unidentified Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

As a result of the defence operations, three people were moderately injured. Iran has been targeting the UAE since February 28, and since then, the nation's defence system has intercepted a total of 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,263 UAVs.

According to the UAE's official statement, three more people sustained injuries, taking the total number of injuries to 230, involving individuals from various nationalities.
