India, May 28 -- In a major development in the Twisha Sharma death case, the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Wednesday cancelled the anticipatory bail previously granted to Giribala Singh, the mother-in-law of the deceased model Twisha Sharma. The court's decision marks a critical turning point in the investigation, effectively removing the legal shield that had protected the retired judicial officer from arrest since May 15.
The ruling comes following a vigorous challenge led by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, who argued that the initial bail was granted "in a very hurried manner" without proper scrutiny of the allegations.
