It was a busy week in the remaking of the global economic order. Barely had the world finished commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9/11 when leaders gathered in New Delhi for the BRICS summit. Days later, Prime Minister Mark Carney assembled investors from nearly 30 countries in Toronto and challenged them to participate in Canada's plan to catalyse $1 trillion of investment over five years. He then went to Strasbourg, warning that economic integration is being weaponised and supply chains have become vulnerabilities.
