India, May 11 -- A major security case involving US President Donald Trump moved forward in federal court after a California man accused of attempting to assassinate the president pleaded not guilty to multiple criminal charges. The incident, which allegedly unfolded during a White House Correspondents Association dinner event in Washington, has intensified national debate over presidential security and political violence in the United States.
Prosecutors say the accused travelled across the country carrying several weapons before allegedly opening fire near the venue and the case is now being viewed as one of the most serious threats against a sitting or former U.S. president in recent years.
