India, Aug. 6 -- The Supreme Court's approval rating among Americans has fallen to a record low, driven chiefly by a sharp drop in support from Republicans frustrated by rulings that went against US President Donald Trump's agenda, according to a new Gallup poll released last week.

Just 33 per cent of Americans now approve of the job the Supreme Court is doing, a six-percentage-point drop from the 39 per cent who approved of its work in July 2025, which had previously stood as the lowest level of approval Gallup had recorded.

A record 61 per cent of Americans now disapprove of the court, according to Gallup, which has tracked public approval of the institution for 26 years.
