India, April 5 -- Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff has given a harsh reply to Max Verstappen's recent comments on the 2026 Formula 1 rules. After the Japanese GP, where a lot of F1 buffs talked about the future, Wolff even called the Triple World Champion's accusations that the new engine and car regulations would result in "non-driving" and a "horror show" in performance completely wrong. Verstappen has sometimes thought about quitting the sport if the racing becomes too artificial, but Wolff explained that the 2026 concept is actually the "pure science of racing" and therefore those moaning could just be the ones scared of the change in power flow.
