India, Aug. 26 -- Hollywood has lost one of its most distinctive performers. Tim Curry, the actor whose unforgettable turn as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show made him a cult favourite, has died at the age of 80.

According to TMZ, Curry died late Tuesday night at his home in Los Angeles. The actor had been dealing with serious health problems for more than a decade. His death marks the end of a career that stretched across films, television, theatre and voice acting.
