India, Sept. 17 -- The Traitors is back but this time there are no reality TV veterans or familiar celebrity faces waiting inside Alan Cumming's castle. The Traitors: New Blood premiered on September 17 with an entirely civilian cast, marking the first time the U.S. version of the series has been made up exclusively of non-famous contestants. The new season airs on NBC and streams on Peacock the following day.

There are 22 contestants in the new season, and they come from very different backgrounds. The group includes a NASA astrophysicist, a nurse, a physician, a funeral director, lawyers, realtors, a pilot, an ironworker, a content creator and a former MLB player.
