India, Oct. 6 -- For voters in Thattanchavady, knowing the exact polling booth can make election day much easier. As the Puducherry Assembly constituency prepares to vote in the bypoll on October 6, voters can check their assigned polling station online instead of searching for the location at the last minute. The constituency has 31 polling stations for 26,921 eligible voters, with polling scheduled from 7 AM to 6 PM.

The Thattanchavady seat became vacant after Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy resigned from the constituency after winning both Thattanchavady and Mangalam in the April Assembly election and retaining Mangalam. The bypoll will decide his successor in the constituency.
