India, July 19 -- Britain has formally requested the extradition of Andrew and Tristan Tate after US Marshals arrested the brothers in Miami on Saturday, just hours after UK prosecutors revealed a dramatically expanded set of charges against the self-styled "manosphere" influencers, capping a four-year transatlantic legal battle spanning Romania, Hungary, Britain and now the United States.

Britain's Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that it has requested the extradition of Andrew and Tristan Tate from the United States, following their arrest by US Marshals outside a Miami boxing venue earlier in the day.

"The CPS has requested the extradition of the Tates from the US," said Malcolm McHaffie, head of the CPS Special Crime Division.
