India, Sept. 6 -- Following a massive glacier collapse along the Nepal-Tibet border, an avalanche of water, rock, and ice tore through mountain valleys, burying villages and critical infrastructure. International rescue teams are digging and drilling frantically through tonnes of compacted sludge blocking the tunnels of hydropower plants, to rescue trapped workers. Finding signs of life requires electronic and sensory technology that can pierce through solid rock and mud.
