India, Sept. 21 -- Suchika Tariyal's Asian Games 2026 campaign ended with a bronze medal, but her women's traditional 60kg MMA semifinal against Singapore's Tiffany Teo Hui Hoon became one of the most controversial results of India's campaign in Aichi-Nagoya.

Tariyal lost the semifinal decision to Teo, ending her hopes of reaching the final. However, India challenged the original verdict, leading to an arbitration review that produced another twist: the bout was judged to be a draw. According to a report by RevSportz, the result was then decided using the Asian Federation's weight rule, with the lighter fighter getting the advantage.
