India, June 28 -- The 2026 Strawberry Moon reaches peak illumination on Monday, June 29, at 7:56 PM EDT, which corresponds to 5:27 AM IST on Tuesday, June 30. The moon appears full to the naked eye for three consecutive nights, offering an excellent viewing opportunity. A Strawberry Moon is simply the traditional nickname given to the full moon that occurs every year in the month of June.

Despite its evocative name, it does not actually look like a strawberry, nor is it naturally pink or red. While it is not pink, the Strawberry Moon frequently takes on a beautiful, warm golden-orange hue when viewed from the Northern Hemisphere. This happens because the June full moon occurs right around the summer solstice.
