South Korean economic paradox and India-Korea strategic economic cooperation
India, Oct. 11 -- South Korea's economy presents a striking paradox in 2026. On the surface, the country appears to be experiencing a powerful economic recovery. However, beneath the surface, it is facing serious structural vulnerabilities. After a period of weak domestic demand and subdued growth, exports and investment have strengthened, and economic growth forecasts have been revised substantially upward. The Bank of Korea now projects real GDP growth of 3.3% in 2026 and 2.9% in 2027. Yet these encouraging indicators mask deeper structural problems facing the Korean economy.
