India, Oct. 2 -- The South Africa national cricket team will begin their ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2027 campaign at home when the Proteas face New Zealand in Cape Town on October 9. The tournament will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, with the 14-team competition running from October 2 to November 21. South Africa are among the six teams placed in Group B, alongside New Zealand, Sri Lanka, England, Bangladesh and a qualifier. The Proteas will play five group matches before the competition moves into the Super 7 phase.
