Sonam Wangchuk To End Hunger Strike Today? Activist Lists 3 Conditions
India, July 20 -- Activist and education reformer Sonam Wangchuk has said he will end his ongoing hunger strike by July 20 if any one of three conditions is met. On the opening day of the Monsoon Session, Wangchuk said the Centre should either accept responsibility for recent failures in the education system, including alleged examination paper leaks, or MPs from different political parties should assure him that the issue will be raised in Parliament. If his health does not allow him to travel, he said political leaders could visit him at the hospital and give him the same assurance.
