India, Aug. 12 -- Liverpool is getting a dramatic evening sky show today, Wednesday, August 12, 2026, as the Moon moves across the Sun and blocks almost 92% of the solar disk at maximum eclipse. The city is outside the narrow path of totality, so viewers will see a deep partial solar eclipse, but the high level of coverage should still create a striking change in daylight and the appearance of the western sky.
