India, Aug. 11 -- The Total Solar Eclipse 2026 will take place on August 12, 2026, but Canada will experience the event as a partial solar eclipse. The Moon's shadow will not produce totality anywhere in Canada, although the amount of the Sun covered will vary significantly from one province and territory to another. NASA confirms that most of Canada will see a partial eclipse, with northern and eastern parts of the country witnessing a more substantial portion of the Sun covered.
