India, Sept. 15 -- Analysts and senior advocacy groups are converging on a projected 2027 Social Security cost-of-living adjustment of between 3.5 and 3.6 per cent, which would represent the largest annual benefit increase retirees have seen in four years, according to estimates published this month by the Senior Citizens League and AARP. The projections come as the Bureau of Labour Statistics continues releasing the monthly inflation data that will ultimately determine the adjustment when the Social Security Administration confirms the official figure in mid-October.
