India, Sept. 18 -- Social Security's maximum monthly retirement benefit is projected to rise to approximately $5,362 in 2027, up from the current maximum of $5,251, according to analysts' estimates based on this year's projected cost-of-living adjustment. The increase, driven by an anticipated COLA of between 3.5 and 3.6 per cent, would allow retirees who qualify for the highest possible payment to collect more than $64,000 annually, up from just over $63,000 this year.
